We’re not your typical tour and definitely not your average photography class. Diallo Destinations is where photography, culture, and connection come together in the most unforgettable way. We take you to vibrant cities, guide you through hidden gems, introduce you to local people, and help you capture it all—through your camera and your heart. You don’t have to worry about a thing. Just show up, soak it in, learn new skills, and take the kinds of photos (and memories) you’ve always wanted. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, this is travel how you always imagined it—rich, soulful, and real.

Our Soul
Culture. Camera. Connection.
Ibrahima Diallo grew up in Senegal, inspired by books, languages, and creativity. A poetry contest winner in high school, he carried his love for words and images to New York City. Since 2007, he’s guided thousands of visitors in three languages and served as Vice President of the NYC Tour Guide Association.

Photography became his second language. Diallo Destinations is the result: tours and experiences built on Culture, Camera, and Connection.

Our Pillars: Culture · Camera · Connection

At Diallo Destinations, these aren’t slogans. They’re the framework that makes our tours different from big agencies, generic packages, and surface-level workshops. Each pillar has intent, method, and outcomes you can feel.

Culture.

Culture is the living fabric of a place - its language, food, fashion, music, craft, humor, etiquette, and memory. We don’t package culture as entertainment; we enter it with humility and design each moment with local partners so guests share in culture rather than consume it.

Camera.

We treat the camera as a way of seeing, not just a tool. Instead of rushing for “the shot,” we slow down, notice light and gesture, and make images that carry meaning. It’s teaching in the field - respectful, practical, and suited to phones or pro gear.

-
Look · Listen · Light: Our simple field method slows you down to notice before you shoot.
-
Consent & Care: Portraits are invitation-based; we model how to ask and how to thank.
-
Teach In The Field: Gentle coaching, micro-prompts, and optional end-of-day shares; phones and pro cameras equally welcome.
-
Make, Don’t Take: We favor images that carry meaning—moments that connect you back to the people and places that welcomed you.

Connection.

Connection is the difference between a trip you forget and a journey you keep. We plan for it - small groups, shared tables, real exchange - and we keep the thread alive after the tour so the relationship outlasts the itinerary.
