About
Who is Ibrahima Diallo?
I was born in Senegal, where I grew up surrounded by languages - Wolof at home, French at school, Arabic in prayer, and later English as a bridge to the world. Markets were my first museums; griots my first teachers. From food and music to rituals and values, I learned that culture isn’t staged - it’s lived.
In 2007, I became a licensed New York City tour guide. Since then, I’ve led more than 2,000 tours, welcomed over 10,000 travelers, and spent 7,500+ hours guiding in English, French, and Spanish. Guiding, for me, has never been about reciting facts; it’s about people, stories, and creating spaces of belonging.
I’ve served as Vice President of the Guides Association of New York City (GANYC), chaired its Multilingual Guides Committee, led familiarization tours, and contributed to various committees that support our profession. I also helped steward the Official Grand Central Terminal Tour - hiring, training, onboarding guides, and maintaining tour quality. My work has appeared on NYC Media and in the press; I’ve taught photography at the college level, led workshops in multiple cities, published NYC Passion: The Manhattan Picks, and exhibited award-winning photography. A decade in hospitality - and two New York City Marathons - shaped the same habits I bring to every tour: consistency, care, and endurance.
I guide with the warmth of Senegal and the pace of New York - using language, photography, and hospitality to help people see cities differently, and to make every journey feel human.

Why Diallo Destinations?
Diallo Destinations grew from years of guiding and from my first company, All New York Fun Tours. I wanted something deeper: a tour company where culture, photography, and human connection are not add-ons, but the design itself.

We are not a travel agency. We are a tour company. We craft Destination Experiences abroad and intimate city tours in New York that stay with you—through images that mean something and relationships that last.
Our numbers tell part of the story:
-
2,000+ Tours Led
-
10,000+ Travelers Welcomed
-
7,500+ Guiding Hours Shared
The rest lives in how we build trust: returning guests, word-of-mouth referrals, and communities that welcome us back.

Destination Experiences (Our Signature)
This is where Culture · Camera · Connection comes alive. In Senegal, Mexico City, Jamaica, and beyond, we co-create itineraries with local partners: morning markets before the crowds, community music and dance, cooking with families, respectful portraiture, golden-hour walks, and time to breathe. These are not packages - they’re living encounters. When you tour with Diallo Destinations, you don’t collect stamps - you collect relationships.
City Tours That Open The Door
In New York City, our Selfie Tour and Private SUV / Walking Tours invite you outside your comfort zone - into better light, into conversation with the city, and into playful co-creation with the people you’re with. You leave with images you’re proud of and a new way of seeing the streets beneath your feet.

Because we bring Senegal’s warmth to New York’s energy. Because our partners are people, not suppliers. Because your photos—and your memories—should still mean something when the tour is over.
